Despite (or maybe because of) growing instability among legacy space companies and elevated economic uncertainty, space industry funding recovered from the August low with $112M invested in 13 startups in September.
With just under $233M invested in 12 startups with 4 undisclosed rounds that were likely quite large, this month continued a great year for space investment, bringing the YTD total to more than $3.1B (disclosed rounds).
With vacation, Burning Man, and chasing early stage companies at YC Demo Day consuming half of the month for many VCs, August expectedly came in a low with only $21M ($51M if you count the $30M debt raised by Gogo) invested in 9 startups.
