With the official launch of EPOCH 2: Permissionless Creation, we entered the V2 of the AI Protocol and launched CharacterGPT, the world’s first multimodal generative AI system that can create interactive AI Characters from a description in natural language.
In December 2022’s State Of The Ark, the team at Alethea AI shared a recap of EPOCH 1, an upgraded tech stack, including an Intelligence Layer, updates about the expansion of capabilities of iNFTs to build dApps, progressive decentralization, and community initiatives.
So let’s dive right in!
The dawn of the Generative Age
The AI Protocol has launched its second version (V2) with the addition of the Intelligence Layer to the tech stack. This layer, currently inhabited by CharacterGPT — Alethea’s flagship Generative AI system that enables Text-To-Character creation, and other AI engines, supplies intelligence to the dApps built on the AI Protocol.
As the three flywheels of the Application, Protocol, and Intelligence layers manifest themselves as the soul of the ecosystem, the body and mind of the ecosystem continue to grow, with new users participating every day.
To mark the first step in introducing many ‘text-to-systems’, Alethea AI has built CharacterGPT that enables the creation of interactive AI Characters from a description in natural language. You can try CharacterGPT through MyCharacter.ai, a third-party dApp built on the AI Protocol and leverages CharacterGPT’s intelligence. To learn how to write prompts for MyCharacter.ai, click here.
Alethea AI has collaborated with Polygon and the AI Protocol has now expanded to the polygon chain as well. To celebrate this partnership, MyCharacter.ai also created an interactive digital twin of Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon which is verified with a golden check mark that lives in his web3 wallet.
MyCharacter.ai also created a digital twin of DeFi Dad, a decentralized finance expert and crypto literacy advocate. He is also an active investor at 4RC capital and a key advisor to the Push Protocol and Defiant News. The 100 Revenants, the flagship collection of AI collectibles by Alethea AI are also interoperable across MyCharacter.ai.
Among many groundbreaking announcements, we are also excited to share that all the iNFTs have been upgraded to enable dApp creation.
This means that each iNFT can now enable the creation of a dApp like MyCharacter.ai to offer services depending on the intelligence level of the intelligence pod (previously known as personality pod) to distribute CharacterGPT’s intelligence to a wider range of people and build contributing to our shared vision of democratizing AI through ownership.
If you own an iNFT, and wish to create a dApp like MyChracter.ai leveraging CharacterGPT, fill out the access form here. Please note that your iNFT will still continue to function as intended by offering services like recite, broadcast, and interact depending upon its intelligence level on Noah’s Ark.
Milestones and Achievements
We are excited to share that the AI Protocol has taken its first step toward it by launching a snapshot governance page where the eligible members of the AI Protocol Institute voted on the Constitution of the AI Protocol to be the guiding philosophy as the ecosystem flourishes. Alethea AI has also released its Statement of Ethics emphasizing the virtues and values it intends to endear as the AI Protocol grows and expands.
The AI Protocol Institute, which is the governing body of the AI Protocol comprises every eligible member of the community who holds 1000 ALI Tokens and is a member of the snapshot governance forum. You can reach out in Discord to join the Content Moderation Council to ensure the governance of the on-chain AI assets created through various dApps built on the AI Protocol.
We are also excited to announce that Noah’s Ark, the world’s first intelligent metaverse and our flagship dApp now has its own designated home on the web at noahsark.ai. Alethea AI’s website, alethea.ai is now upgraded to represent various components of the AI Protocol ecosystem and various developments at Alethea AI.
We are constantly working on expanding the pool of NFT Projects that can be fused with the intelligence pods. More updates regarding ARKIVs and Demo Day will be shared soon!

It has been a fun rollercoaster ride to continue building and witnessing all the developments in the AI Protocol. The exponential growth of the AI Protocol since the launch of CharacterGPT and our partnership with Polygon has attracted tons of media attention. Notable press outlets like Venture Beat, Business Insider, Binance, Cryptoslate, Coin Market Cap, NFT Plazas, NFT Calendar, NFT Evening and Dapp Radar have covered and released articles appreciating CharacterGPT.
CharacterGPT has also taken social media by storm leading to some interesting AI Character interactions and highlights captured by QuHarrison Terry, Crypto Banter, Jordan, and more.
AI Literacy and Democratization
While the AI Protocol system continues to grow and expand, we are also ensuring that all the community members understand the importance of updates and leverage them to their best advantage.
