Profiles ITN Guide
With Âtrium gearing up for mainnet launch in early 2025, there isn’t much time left to make the most out of our incentivized testnet! This guide has been written to reflect our latest updates to Profiles, challenges and Staking Baskets.
Join the Profiles Incentivized Testnet!
By participating in our incentivized testnet, you can earn token rewards that will be available after our platform launches on the mainnet, by helping us test our product and find bugs. You participate by completing challenges that involve interacting with our smart contracts, wallet features, and social media channels. As you complete challenges, your Profile will level up, and earn customisations and unlocks. The higher you level your Profile by completing challenges, the more airdrop rewards you’ll receive.
In this article, we’ll describe how you can participate step by step. Our latest major platform update is the last one before mainnet, so this is your last chance to maximize your rewards that you can earn before mainnet.
How to get started:
Step 1: Follow our guide and set up a testnet wallet, if you haven’t already.
Step 2: Visit the Cardano Faucet and request some test ADA be sent to your newly created testnet address.
Step3: Complete this form, ensuring you include the testnet address you are using, and the mainnet address you wish the Âtma DAO tokens to be sent to.
Step 4: Complete the Testnet challenges listed below on Âtrium.
Testnet Tasks
Task 1: Mint a Profile (see video below).
Task 2: Complete rewards challenges to level up your account. The higher level you reach, the more Âtma DAO tokens you will receive. You can find these on the ‘challenges’ page.
Connecting to Âtrium
Once your wallet is set up, head to https://alpha.atrium.io/ and connect. Select VESPR. A popup will appear that will authorize the connection.
You’ll be taken to the Âtrium main dashboard page. To mint your own Profile and start earning rewards, click on “Community” in the top menu.
This is the main profiles page where you can mint a new Profile NFT.
When you head over to Create Profile, a popup will appear. There will be a series of three windows, similar to the ones you see below. In the first screen you can select your unique Profile name, and choose your title and Profile description. In the next two screens you select your avatar, and confirm and sign your NFT mint. A pop-up from VESPR wallet will appear to sign your NFT mint.
Once your Profile has been minted on-chain, you will be taken to your Profile page. In your Profile top menu, you’ll find an overview of your level, XP and the rewards challenges that can be completed to gain XP and level up your Profile. You can open the Profile top menu by clicking your Profile name in the top right corner.
If you have multiple Profiles minted, you can also switch between them using the “Change Profile” button from the Profile top menu.
Your Profile explained
Everything you need to know about your Profile can be found in the Profile top menu. An overview of your Profile, different pages to display the available challenges, your unlocks and connections,… To check your XP level, head to the “Your Profile” page.
On your Profile page, you can also view all available challenges. They’re sectioned into daily, weekly, and monthly challenges. To get more info on each challenge, click the small arrow-down symbol next to it. It will display the type of challenge, and details and limits that apply.
There are Âtrium dashboard, Discord, and X challenges. Make note of the limits set on certain challenges, since you won’t be rewarded for extra effort beyond that point during that period, e.g. limit of 5 per day. Unfortunately, due to restrictions on X, there is a delay between the time you complete the X challenge, and the time it will show up on our platform.
Connecting your X & Discord account
To be eligible for XP from Discord and X, these platforms must be linked to your Profile. You can only connect a certain X and Discord account to 1 Profile NFT.
Go to “Connections” in the Profile top menu.
You can link your accounts there. To Connect to X, click the “X connect” button in the popup screen. You can authorize the connection between your X account and Âtrium there. The same applies for connecting Discord.
An alternative is to navigate to “Update NFT” from the Profile top menu. On the second page of the pop-up, you can manage your connections.
You can close the Connection settings screen. when cycling through the other screens, you can change background and badges there. At the end you once again sign with your wallet to update and change the information stored in your Profile NFT.
An alternative method for linking your Profile NFT to your Discord account, is to head over to our Discord server. When you send an emoji to the AtriumBot in the “profile-nft-verification” channel, a new channel will open at the bottom of the channel list with the name “atriumbot-<yourusername>”.
Click the link provided in the first message, and paste the code on that page back into the Discord channel as a reply.
That’s it! Your NFT is minted and your social account are linked to your Profile. You can now start completing rewards challenges and levelling up your Profile!
What are Profiles?
Profiles are smart contract generated NFTs that enable users to update the information stored inside them. These Profile NFTs can then be used to populate profile pages such as the ones that live on the Âtrium interface. Profile NFTs evolve as users interact on Âtrium, levelling up as experience points are earned for performing tasks. As users level up new background images, titles and avatars are unlocked, allowing for increased customisation. Profiles form a thriving ecosystem of webpages with customisable tiles and features, allowing for a Cardano experience tailored to you and your needs. Projects, Stake pools, Organisations, Content creators, dReps and Users all connected and linked through Âtrium to form the beating heart of Cardano. A social media, built with web 3.0 in mind and Cardano at its core.
Minting a profile NFT in the Incentivized testnet will not guarantee you the same address on mainnet.
ÂTMA DAO Token?
The Âtma DAO has taken a groundbreaking step in governance by establishing a registered legal entity as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). With Âtma DAO, each token represents ownership of the DAO, ensuring that all token holders have a stake in the governance and direction of the project. Committing on day one to this approach not only democratizes governance but also aligns the interests of the token holders with the long-term success and sustainability of the Âtma DAO.
On top of DAO voting the Âtma DAO token will also allow projects to market themselves on Atrium. Using the User Account NFT profiles, users and projects will be able to push themselves higher on a decentralized list. Staking Baskets also charge a DAO fee that can be paid back to users, used for buy-backs, or used to fund future developments.
When will I receive Âtma DAO Token
When a user is eligible for this airdrop they will have to wait until the TGE (token-generation-event) to receive the first 10% of their Âtma DAO tokens. After the TGE users will be able to come and claim their DAO tokens from their vesting contract with a simple claim transaction. The full airdrop will be paid out over a eight month period. Users will be able to claim every epoch, or any timeframe that suits them best. Users will have a total of 1 year from the start of the TGE to claim all of the airdrop rewards. After 1 year, the remaining DAO tokens in the vesting contracts will be sent back to the DAO for future incentivization.
