Hi folks. Harry Doyle here — with my pre-game analysis for the final match up the 2016 MLB World Series. Lots of graphs and maths. A bit long, but so is the season.
Tomlin’s 0–2 pitch to Bryant was an early Christmas present and something you tell your 8 year kid never to do. Do not throw an off speed pitch to the hitter’s hot zone, especially on an 0–2 count.
The worst case scenario arrived in Cleveland. Tomlin had a melt-down, giving up a home run on an 0–2 count and 2 outs, which reduced his use of his curve ball. As the pressure built in the 3rd, he got shelled.
He basically made one mistake, possibly because he was bored. Too bad he won’t pitch tomorrow night v. Kluber. Not much more to say, his Harry Doyle score speaks for this performance.
