Register now for the Battle Racers: Maker ShowDAOn!

This August, we are partnering with MakerDAO and CommunityGaming.io as we bring you the Maker ShowDAOn, a single elimination tournament that is open to all Battle Racers NFT holders. Battle it out in 1v1 races for a chance to win limited edition NFTs, $SCRAP, $DAI, and POAP from our $500 prize pool!

Registration

Sign up now until August 18th, 2021 on the official tournament page (https://communitygaming.io/tournament/battle-racers-maker-showdaon):

1. Create a CommunityGaming account.
2. After creating an account, click Join Tournament.
3. Submit the following information:

• In-game username (BR Web or Decentraland nickname)
• Discord ID (including the #number tag)
• ETH address (must contain a BR Part NFT)

4. Join the Playcheck Games Discord Server.

Brackets will be announced and the tournament proper will begin on August 18th, 2021 2PM UTC / 10PM GMT+8. Registrants who do not own any Part NFTs will be given a chance to obtain one, otherwise, they will not be eligible to participate.

Tournament Proper

Similar to the Duel Cup Open, two racers will get matched up in each leg and will race on Track 3 (Starry Speedway) of the Battle Racers arena (playable via Battle Racers Web or on Decentraland). The tournament will be self-run with one week allowed per leg.

• Win two rounds in a best-of-3 in order to advance to the next leg. The starting positions will be based on the seeding order: top seed on the first podium and low seed on the second podium. Two AI racers will fill up the lower positions.
• Schedule your own duels and report your race results on the #br-tournament channel on Discord. The Battle Racers team will update the brackets on the CommunityGaming tournament page and announce who advances to the next leg.

Uncompleted duels will forfeit both players’ participation or advancement from further legs in the tournament. Players with non-present opponents can receive a bye for the current leg and automatically advance to the next should there be evidence provided of the opponent’s commitment and non-compliance to an agreed schedule.

$500 Prize Pool

Our event partners MakerDAO (through its core unit MakerGrowth) and CommunityGaming.io have sponsored $150 and $200 worth of DAI respectively, which will be awarded to the finalists. Consolation prizes in the form of Battle Racers Part NFTs, $SCRAP, and POAP will also be given away. All prizes will be minted on Polygon.

DAI Prizes

Our Top 4 players will each receive DAI prizes in their CommunityGaming wallets:

• Champion: $100 DAI
• Runner-up: $75 DAI
• 3rd Place: $50 DAI
• 4th Place: $25 DAI

Meanwhile, five (5) lucky winners will be randomly selected among the remaining eligible participants and receive $20 DAI each.

Zeta MKR Part NFTs*

Sixteen (16) winners will each receive one (1) random Part NFT from the Zeta MKR set, a brand new car inspired by MakerDAO and especially designed for this tournament. The first 8 parts will be awarded to the Top 8, while the remaining 8 parts will be raffled off to the remaining participants.

Here’s more info on the Zeta MKR:

• Zeta MKR Parts will be tagged as Special Edition
• Zeta MKR Parts will be tagged as Rare in terms of rarity and will NOT have an Elite tag
• There are four (4) complete Zeta MKR cars in total
• This limited edition car will not be sold anywhere else

Participation Prizes: $SCRAP and POAP

All participants who complete their duels will be receiving $SCRAP, the Battle Racers utility token, and a commemorative POAP badge.

• Top 8 placers: 50 $SCRAP each
• 9th place onwards: 25 $SCRAP each

All consolation prizes will be awarded to the addresses provided in the registration questions. To maximize your chances of winning, you can trade Part NFTs with other players on OpenSea and Venly.
