Register now for the Battle Racers Duel Cup Open!
Start your engines and compete in the Duel Cup Open, our latest tournament that is open to all Battle Racers NFT holders! Climb up the tournament legs from Elimination up to the Finals for a chance to win over US$30,000 worth of NFT prizes and cryptocurrency, including Battle Racers Season 1 crates, our new SCRAP currency, and other exciting prizes from various sponsors.
How to Join
Sign up now until April 30th, 2021 by submitting the following on the Altitude Games Discord:
- In-game username (Early Access username or Decentraland nickname)
- Proof of NFT ownership (ETH address or link to a car part you own)
Brackets will be announced and the tournament proper will begin on May 3rd, 2021 10PM GMT+8. Seeding order will be based on the order of registration, so make sure to sign up early!
All previous registrants are pre-invited and will need to register again. Winners during our Winter Weekly Duels will also be automatically top-seeded in the Duel Cup Open.
Mix and match your best car parts to create your ultimate race car, and use your combat skills to beat your opponents to the finish line.
Tournament Mechanics
Similar to our Weekly Duels, two racers will get matched up in each leg and will race on a predetermined track (to be announced soon) in the Battle Racers arena (playable via Early Access or on Decentraland). Win two rounds in a best-of-3 in order to advance to the next leg. The starting positions will be based on the seeding order with two AI racers taking the lower positions.
The tournament will also be self-run with one week allowed per leg. Please schedule your own duels and report your results on the #br-tournament channel on Discord. The Battle Racers team will announce the official results and who advances to the next leg.
Uncompleted duels will forfeit both players’ participation or advancement from further legs in the tournament. Players with non-present opponents can receive a bye for the current leg and automatically advance to the next should there be evidence provided of the opponent’s commitment and non-compliance to an agreed schedule.
Prizes
We will be giving away Season 1 crates, SCRAP, and ETH from our OpenSea commissions. Plus, we also have some sponsored prizes!
Crates
Our Top 4 players will be receiving Battle Racers crates containing part NFTs from Season 1:
- Champion: 2x Battle Racers Season 1 Gold Crate (0.7 ETH value each)
- Runner-Up: 5x Battle Racers Season 1 Silver Crate (0.3 ETH value each)
- 3rd Place: 9x Battle Racers Season 1 Bronze Crate (0.1 ETH value each)
- 4th Place: 12x Battle Racers Season 1 Wood Crate (0.03 ETH value each)
Crates will also be given away for special awards and raffle draws. Details will be announced before the tournament proper begins.
SCRAP
All participants who complete their duels will be receiving SCRAP, our new progression token that can be used for Competitive Races and Parts Upgrading soon.
- Top 8 placers: 100 SCRAP each
- 9th place onwards: 50 SCRAP each
But that’s not all! If we reach more than 60 participants, we’ll be adding another 50 SCRAP for the Top 16 placers, so the Top 8 will receive a total of 150 SCRAP each.
ETH
A portion of our OpenSea commission (in ETH) from trading transactions of Battle Racers parts has also been allocated as part of the prize pool for the Tournament Champion!
1% of the amount of every transaction for Battle Racers parts in OpenSea (until the tournament proper begins on May 3rd) is up for grabs for clinching the top spot in the tournament.

Tips and Tricks
Here are some helpful advice to our participants:
- When assembling your car, select parts based on their stat specialties. (Learn more about car parts here.)
- Choose you combat skills carefully and time them wisely depending on the track selection, your starting position, and your opponent’s playstyle.
- If you do not have a claimed name on Decentraland, you can share your Guest name with your opponent instead. You can also set a nickname on our Early Access Demo for it to be displayed on Decentraland’s in-game UI. Make sure you are using the same ETH address for both versions.
- Change your server nickname on Discord to the in-game username that you registered with in order for your opponents to easily find you.
- When coordinating race schedules, we recommend that you set a specific time for you and your opponent to meet in order to minimize waiting times. Please include your timezone and the number of “hours from now” for less confusion.
- Please wait for all Battle Racers assets to be loaded completely to minimize lag during gameplay. We also suggest playing a few practice races before commencing the official tournament matches.
- To improve game performance, we recommend setting your graphics quality to Basic. Additionally, you can also enable hardware acceleration in your Google Chrome settings.
- On Decentraland, you can manually select a realm (server) by adding the realm name to the URL. For example, type https://play.decentraland.org/?position=67%2C-21&realm=fenrir-amber in your browser to easily find your opponent if he/she is on the fenrir-amber realm.
