Thousands of crypto enthusiasts gather in the heart of Europe every year to attend the acclaimed BlockShow Europe conference. This year’s was held in Berlin, Germany, bringing over 3,000 attendees and 150 projects from across the blockchain world together for one of Europe’s biggest blockchain events.

Looking to build connections with some of the most prominent figures in the blockchain industry and to spread the word about the BEAT project, part of our BEAT team visited the conference on both days, May 28–29.

Representing BEAT at the event was Jens Kappe, our Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) and Daniel Wischer, our Chief Product Officer (CPO). BlockShow 2018 hosted over 80 internationally recognized speakers , including central bank and EU government officials, as well as representatives from some of the biggest exchanges in the crypto space . It was, indeed, the “Best Place for Blockchain Business” to network and introduce our product to a diverse audience.

Interacting With Investors and Representatives from Various Exchanges

At the conference, Jens and Daniel had the opportunity to interact with people from around the blockchain industry — both investors and project managers alike — and explain the use cases of the BEAT ecosystem. Through these meaningful conversations we obtained an overall impression of the blockchain economy on a global scale.
Jens and Daniel also met with representatives from several exchanges to learn more about getting BEAT listed on some of the biggest exchanges in the cryptocurrency market after the end of the token sale. They spoke with OKEx and COBINHOOD — both of which have some of the highest trade volumes in the current market.

During this conference, I had the chance to talk to exchanges for possible future BEAT token listings after the end of the token sale (amongst others OKEx and COBINHOOD). Also, I had a look at various new technical developments and real world blockchain use-cases and got in touch with possible future developers for BEAT. Definitely, was a very profitable experience. — Jens Kappe

Joined Forces With New Partner Paranoid Internet

The BlockShow conference was also a great opportunity for us to connect with our newest partner, Paranoid Internet. As we announced in a previous post, we’re working with Paranoid Internet, a cryptocurrency marketing and consulting agency and the creators of the C3 Crypto Conference in Berlin. Paranoid Internet is well known throughout the German startup and crypto industry as a community and ecosystem-builder, and it was great for us to meet at BlockShow and discuss the strategies involved in getting BEAT to the top of the crypto industry.

Besides, we also got to connect with some of the new advisors for our project, one of them being the CEO of Paranoid Internet himself, Dennis Weidner. Dennis is a German entrepreneur and investor who has an extensive experience in cryptocurrencies and blockchain. During our meeting, we discussed the next steps of his involvement in our project, and we will be disclosing these in a Medium post that we will be releasing in the coming weeks.

All in all, Blockshow 2018 was a fantastic conference with a lot of talented developers and excellent projects. If we were to pick a highlight of the conference, it would probably be the inspiring talk by Alex Mashinsky about giving power back to the people — which is essentially our mission statement at BEAT.
