Bebo is a way to create Social Communities

We’ve been building social apps (Blab and Bebo Messenger) for the last couple years. During that time, we created a platform to help us build these apps. Recently we decided to open up our platform and let anyone build their own Social Community.

Bebo SDK

BeboSDK is a JavaScript library that enables deep functionality into the Bebo App. It allows you to create feature rich applications that can be installed into your server. This allows you to create any room for you and your friends.

How to add it to your project:

Bebo.User — User Info

Bebo.User.get(user, callback);

The get() function will return data about a user or users depending on how it is called.

The user field can be passed as ‘me’ to retrieve your own data.

Bebo.Camera — Native Camera API

Bebo.Camera.previewOn(side);

The previewOn() function will trigger the native camera preview

Bebo.previewOn('front'); or Bebo.previewOn('back');

Bebo.Camera.previewOff();

Bebo Misc Functions

Bebo.getRoster(callback);

The getRoster() function return a list of users that are members of your server.

Returns the Server’s ID
