High-level summary of COVID-19 as it affects our loved ones at the Berkeley Silverado, updated weekly. See the main page or this link to medium.com/berksilver for the full list.

  • Sign up here for visitations on Schedulista. (More at Visitation & COVID).
  • While case numbers are skyrocketing around the country, the City of Berkeley low positivity rate for tests are merely creeping up. In Alameda county as a whole, the numbers are increasing fast. (We’re tracking this daily at Testing & COVID)
  • Self-service remote visitations now work reliably using devices like the Amazon Echo and iPads. (For details and procedures, see Virtual Visits & COVID.) Family members can also request more structured Zoom calls which have the added benefit of allowing you to share videos and images with your loved one.
  • Facebook page. If you pop by the Berkeley Silverado Facebook page where you just might glimpse pictures of your loved ones (only if the Silverado have permission to use their pictures.) Here’s the public link: https://www.facebook.com/Silverado-Berkeley-Memory-Care-Community-188498298764713. (They’ve recently changed the URL, when in doubt, search Facebook for “Silverado Berkeley”).
  • Silverado corporate has introduced a new update to their website, revamped with more resources for families. See also the COVID-19 Pandemic response page.

Keep up the love, send care packages, connect with family in any way you can.
