We’re developing Liga Portugal’s website which loads a lot of data, so we needed to distract users while the content is loading. There was already a solution provided by facebook, slack, and many other applications that show animated placeholders.
When I started developing for the web one of the tasks I dreaded the most was the slicing and exporting of all the images needed, particularly icons. I had to create several images for each icon: default, active, hover and disabled state and also specific images for different sizes.
I just spent 2+ hours trying to figure out why browser sync wasn’t connecting to my browser. Reinstalled npm packages, changed gulp tasks and finally got it. It was the tiniest detail: the <body> tag.
Like Barbara Mendes said in a previous publication, we’re currently developing Liga Portugal’s website. One of the most awesome features that we have, is the possibility to view the current week matches, standings and statistics, of the selected competition.
