Startup idea #4 Cannabis delivery mobile app
I remember the day when we got the inquiry to build an app for marijuana delivery in NYC. I was curious to know about this deeply. The first question I asked our client was her reason to start a business like this. She replied “Marijuana for medical purpose is legal in the country. And people are looking for a way to get marijuana easily. So I want to launch his business before the other competitors”
There were already a few marijuana dispensaries in the city. So instead of going for a physical store, he was looking for a way which doesn’t need much investment. Hence; she came up with the idea of launching her online store.
We gave her different options of how to start this online cannabis delivery service smoothly. But due to her tight budget, we came up with the plan to launch a single app for the users with basic features.
This was just a trial to see the response from the citizens of his city.
The app was developed and launched within 19 months.

She started her business with a simple app for users and a web panel for herself. She contacted a local merchant to buy the stock. Whenever she used to get an order she simply buys it from the local merchant and deliver it to the address mentioned in the app.
At the starting phase, her idea was to get as many loyal customers as possible. When her app started gaining popularity she started charging minimal delivery charges.
Slowly she started earning great profits and she decided to expand.
She again contacted us to build an amazon like a marketplace for marijuana delivery in her city. She contacts all the local dispensaries and merchants. All of them were ready to sell online. Within no time all the marijuana seller in her city joined the marketplace.
Today she is selling other marijuana-related products like pre-rolls, seeds, shakes, and flowers.
