Which 3 college degrees are the biggest waste of money in 2025?

When I got my college degree, I chose a career that was, at the time, highly respected and well-compensated.

Things got weird after that.

That chosen profession has since morphed into one of the most despised, disrespected, and underpaid jobs there is.

Yes, it used to be a big deal to be a journalist.

Now, when young people ask me if they should go to journalism school, I tell them to run for the hills.

How many careers are worse-off than journalism?

To be clear, I have the utmost respect for journalists because I was one, I worked with them, and I know they care deeply about society and the search for truth.

There was a time when this noble raison d’etre engendered a certain level of respect from people whether they agreed with you or not.

And what do you get now?

Constant abuse by politicians and trolling by keyboard warriors who can barely put a coherent sentence together, let alone speak cogently on the subject of journalism ethics.
