As of 2022 Descartes has now been renamed as Cartesi Compute.

March 31, 2021 March has been a whirlwind of progress for Cartesi, working towards our mission: unlocking access to a truly open web of decentralized systems that empowers businesses, consumers and devices.

We announced integrations and partnerships with Injective, Travala, IOTA, and released information on a brand new tech showcase that we are developing with Polygon. We also released our last pending milestones for Q1, Noether’s PoS v1.1, and most recently, Cartesi Compute v1.1!

Alongside these exciting announcements, we also expanded our presence significantly, having CTSI registered on Messari, an integration for wrapped CTSI on Binance Smart Chain, running a new series of youtube videos, AMA’s, blog articles, and reaching over 50M CTSI staked via Noether’s PoS System.

And finally, we released an article on how Cartesi can help bring the next million developers to blockchain, a topic that can’t be denied in today’s world wherein blockchain keeps growing and evolving.

Want to learn more about this month’s developments listed above? We’ve summarized them for you, have a read below!

Noether’s PoS v1.1

Early in the month we announced the release of Noether’s Proof of Stake System: Version 1.1, one of our milestones for Q1. This release represented an upgrade to the Noether Node and CTSI staking system, preceding the upcoming staking delegation release, which is in the works for our Q2 release.

Cartesi Compute SDK v1.1

Most recently, we announced the release of Cartesi Compute v1.1, the final milestone pending for Q1. This release represents a consolidation of numerous new features and technology updates for Cartesi Compute which are summarized in this article.

How Cartesi can Bring the World’s Developers to Blockchain

Despite the growing interest in blockchain technology, the amount of blockchain developers is a bottleneck in enabling blockchain’s full potential.

Cartesi solves this and can help bring the world’s developers to Blockchain!

Partnerships and Integrations

We proudly partnered up with Travala this month, as Travala is the world’s leading cryptocurrency-friendly online travel agency, This partnership will unlock purchasing power for over 3M+ travel products with CTSI!

Cartesi also partnered with IOTA! Cartesi will be expanding DeFi use cases such as AMMs, gaming, NFTs, and Oracles. Thereby, Cartesi is strengthening IOTA’s ability to offer decentralized tech to corporations through smart contracts.

Cartesi to Showcase a Fully Decentralized Poker Game in Partnership with Polygon

We announced that we are partnering with Polygon to showcase a fully decentralized poker game built by Cartesi on our Cartesi Compute SDK and running on top of Polygon’s PoS Chain.

The Cartesi team is developing the game with Cartesi’s Cartesi Compute SDK using traditional software stacks as well as computationally intensive encryption algorithms (mental poker).

In addition, we announced we are integrating with Injective Protocol to enable mainstream developer adoption of the Injective Chain. Cartesi and Injective will enter into a research collaboration, exploring how to integrate Cartesi’s tools into the Injective ecosystem. The aim is to allow developers to utilize familiar programming tools from the world’s leading OS, unlocking tremendous smart contract capabilities offered by the highly interoperable and flexible Injective Chain — enabled by Cartesi.

CTSI, Reserve Mining, and Staking

Early in the month, we partnered with Messari to get Cartesi (CTSI) Verified and Connected to the Messari Registry!

Messari is a data analytics and transparency platform that is built for both enterprises and the public. Messari is centered on the future of crypto and a multi-trillion dollar asset class.

With Cartesi’s listing on Messari, we have another trusted source for high-profile enterprises, organizations, developers, and individuals to discover and research Cartesi and CTSI.

CTSI was also Integrated with Binance Smart Chain, Enabling Cross-Chain Interoperability for DeFi and other BSC DApps

We announced that Binance has now enabled deposits and withdrawals for CTSI on Binance.com as a wrapped BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). In addition to this, CTSI is now enabled on the Binance Bridge, which provides a safe, fast and secure way to bring cross-chain assets to Binance chains.
