November 30, 2020 — November has been an action-packed month with moments everyone has been waiting for. We are now on the road to CTSI Reserve Mining and the first version of our PoS system that will bootstrap Noether and Staking Auctions; learn more on our brand new website and pre-stake now on Coinone!
In addition, read below to learn more about our DApp Incubation Program Participant Achievements, the launch of 4 new regional communities: Brazil, Japan, Philippines, and Spanish, a new Uniswap pair, as well as AMA’s that have great information around Cartesi’s new positioning, CTSI Reserve Mining, and the PoS system.
CTSI Reserve Mining Website and Pre-Staking on Coinone!
In preparation for our highly awaited CTSI Reserve Mining and staking on Mainnet launch, we’ve launched a brand new website that carries Cartesi’s brand refresh and critical information about our sidechain’s roadmap. Read more about the announcement here.
CTSI Reserve Mining and its PoS system aim at bootstrapping the network of Cartesi’s side-chain, Noether, a highly optimized data availability oracle for temporary storage and an important part of Cartesi’s scalability stack.
The final phase of Cartesi’s staking will be CTSI’s innovative staking auction system, which brings a number of benefits to staking such as users being able to pre-define their staking rewards and opportunity costs.
What is it about CTSI Reserve Mining that makes it special?
- Miners get a reward of 2,900 CTSI per block claimed. On average, each block is created every 30 minutes
- Users’ funds are safe while held on the staking contract, duly audited by SlowMist
- No slashing and no risks to the principal due to node malfunction or unavailability
- Rewards distributed directly to the user’s wallet, eliminating extra ETH transaction fees

DApp Incubation Program Achievements
This was the first month of development for our DApp Incubation projects!
During this initial period, each team made significant progress towards integrating Cartesi and creating their DApps.
- Creol has managed to create a first port of the entire Cartesi framework to ARM devices (so that we can now run Cartesi Compute nodes on a Raspberry Pi!).
- The SimThunder project is helping design a Cartesi Compute-powered marketplace to securely trade access to private content data.
- Carti is implementing the first building blocks of a packaging system for Cartesi Machines, which will allow developers to reuse RISC-V cross-compiled resources and thus boost the productivity of Cartesi-powered DApps.
We will be continually providing updates for these projects and featuring the progress on their Cartesi DApps! We are looking forward to the final products. As a reminder, after the incubation program period is over, we will hold a round of quadratic funding via Gitcoin!
