The sound of Lorenzo’s footfalls echoes around you, slowly fading until the cave is filled with an eerie silence.

The prisoner’s chest is decorated with a series of fresh blue marks, interspersed with some older yellow ones. He struggles for breath, the sound of his wheezing echoing in the stillness. He could only open one eye, the other swollen shut.

You grab a goblet from the altar, then kneel beside him. The smell of incense fills the air as you offer him a sip of water. “Here.”

“No.” He shakes his head, eyes widening. “You’re trying to poison me.”

What do you do?

  1. Splash the water onto his face. How dare he speak to you in that tone! (click here).
  2. Drink from the goblet to prove your good intentions (click here).
