This is a continuation of “The Burned Village”, a “choose your own” fiction story (drabble edition) created by JF Danskin. To go back to the previous chapter written by Rayne Sanning, click here. To find out how you can contribute to the ongoing story, click here.

You hate the idea of getting involved in the business of two complete strangers. But you have run out of options.

“Alright,” you say. “Tell me where I can find him and we’ll have a pleasant conversation over tea.”

“We understand each other,” the moneychanger replies, with a smile that is conspiratorial and threatening at the same time. “The bastard lives in that ugly house right over there. You’ll probably notice his stench from a mile away.”

Wanting to cut this awkward trash talk as short as possible, you get up to leave.

“I’ll let you know when it’s done.”

Choices:

  1. You go to the husband’s house to “take care of him”.
  2. You walk away with no intention to ever return.
  3. You turn and attack the moneychanger when he least expects it!

I spent way too much time trying to come up with something entertaining to write here.
