You stop running and notice Lorenzo’s stance: geared for a fight, but relaxed in a way that tells you he knows he will win if it happens.
You can’t help your family if you’re dead so, you reluctantly start moving back towards Lorenzo telling yourself that it will only be a month. Your family is resilient, they will be okay. And Dara is still on mission. If she gets to the orcs first, that’s still good news.
Lorenzo cuts his palm, then yours, and performs a complicated spell that you understand to mean you are now bound to him officially.
