In front of you, a blond girl fights against a grey, stone-lion-like creature, and she is losing. Her only weapon is a closed umbrella. You want to help her, yet your intuition tells you that she’s dangerous.
Eshami, the grand hierophant and your elven mentor, darts a glance at you. You grit your teeth and shake your head. Eshami looks flummoxed, but doesn’t question your judgement. Instead, the two of you stay hidden in the bushes.
Suddenly, the girl trips; she screams when the stone lion bites deep into her shoulder.
Eshami curses and is about to rush out, but you seize her wrist. She glares at you, but you put a finger to your lips, urging her not to make a noise. The elf fumes.
The blond girl receives a harsh thrashing from the stone lion, who becomes increasingly gleeful. She puts up a valiant fight, but the stone lion taunts her, dodging all her attacks, and…
