The Colby Echo is the weekly, editorially independent student-run newspaper of Colby College in Waterville, Maine. Published since 1877, the Echo is one of the oldest college newspapers published weekly. The Colby Echo has traditionally been published to represent the ideas, views, and opinions of the students. Published every Thursday of the academic year, the paper is distributed on campus and has a circulation of 1,500. The Echo is available on a subscription basis and can be read online as well. The Echo is a popular publication for Colby students, faculty, staff, alumni and parents and is read across the country.
