I am a system designer, knowledgeable about arts&tech, some architecture, urban environments and much more.

I was born in Vladikavkaz, Russia, but left to Moscow at the age of seventeen to pursue the dream of becoming a designer which eventually brought me to the current location in Milan, Italy. Here I became a co-pilot of Interstellar Raccoons.

Recently I was responsible for #nevicata14 project as a lead designer and coordinator of it, and the big part of my work was creation of learning environments, especially Ceramic Futures one. And now looking for the new opportunities to collaborate creating great projects.

I have skills in many fields from product design in which I’ve graduated to graphics, communication and project coordination, some knowledge of coding, a lot — of art, handcrafting skills and many others, but I’m at my best when not constantly occupied with any of this activities in particular, but finding ways to put them together and create a bigger whole:

See it yourself:

#nevicata14 — hybrid multilayered public space/platfrom in Milan; #nevicata14 identity, #nevicata14LAB.

Interstellar Raccoons — intercontinental microcollective and open collaborative platform to make sense of contemporary design situation;

Eterea — new urban Wifi landscape, research on the role of infrastructure for hybrid spaces and restructuring of the service offer;

Internet, Tinder and the City — continuous research on new forms of encounter and interactions in hybrid public spaces (my future PhD :);

Ceramic Futures 2-3, Ceramic Futures Book, Relational Design, Biennale Urbana Sanofi Goodlife Lab —various online/offline (and not only) learning environments;

Ceramic Beach — fictional prototype of the future New Nature in Ceramics;

other projects.

Therefore my main strength is design of consistent complex multilayered systems where constant shifting from strategic to detailed levels is required (see #nevicata14). I have studied and worked in Industrial and Product-Service System Design and understood that do not want to continue with the narrow specialization. I believe in application of general design principles to various project fields. Besides that I always question design as a practice, searching for serious social and ethical justifications of my work and looking for the new approaches fitting the contemporary environment. Currently especially interested in effects of technology on the way that we interact with our built environment and each other. (see Internet, Tinder and the City), also in approaching design through the lens of fiction and speculation to reach and communicate strategic levels, future studies applied to design (see Ceramic Beach).

As most of all I like learning new things, I also know that it happens much faster when teaching, which I consider one of main fields of my professional development (see Learning Environments)

Besides work I’m crazy about all the things related to space and universe, but to stay on Earth I like to draw and experiment with all the different mediums and techniques of analogical graphics making *_*
