About
Community-Driven Design Collective
The CDD Collective is a space to share insights and tools that strive towards community-driven design (CDD) — an approach to design thinking that is initiated by the local expertise of community members. To learn more about CDD, see our piece “What is CDD?” on the home page.
Note from the editor

Our goal in creating the CDD Collective is to develop a shared space for sensemaking about what it means for design to be community-driven. For the core team based in the UCSD Design Lab who created this Medium page, we see this as a platform to share our stories and reflections on design from a community-driven frame. But to make sense of community-driven design, we need a community-driven effort that extends well beyond our team. To that end, we invite you to contribute — by reading and sharing your feedback, and by submitting your own pieces to share as part of this forum.
