Where do you get your news these days? That’s the topic of our latest writing prompt and your responses reflect the information crisis of these times. Gone are the days when families tuned in to watch Walter Cronkite deliver “the news” in the evening. News today is peppered with opinion masquerading as fact and comes from a myriad of sources.

In the stories we present today, you will read about what has changed in how we get information and how the rise of ‘infotainment’ has influenced what is delivered as news.

If you have thoughts on the subject of how the news has changed in your lifetime, check out the full writing prompt here.

Many of you enjoyed listening to the current Crow’s Feet: Life As We Age podcast episode featuring Amanda Barusch, who wrote about how older people can channel their anger to achieve positive results. Amanda was angry after being pressured to leave a tenured professor position because of her age, but she turned her experience into a book, Aging Angry. Listen to her conversation with Lee J. Bentch here.
