#HappyHoli! Wishing you all a joyful and safe celebration. —Novak Djokovic

The Holi of bonfires and the Holi of colors both have a long history dating back to several thousands of years. It is time to remind ourselves about several stories related to Holi. The story about the great devotee Prahalad. How the Lord Vishnu saves the toddler Prahalad when Holika (sister of the demon king Hirayankashipu) tries to burn him on a pyre (origin of the bonfire). A day of remembrance of the victory of good over evil. It is also a true tale of the wonder of devotion to the Lord. The legend of Krishna’s courtship with Radha and playing pranks with the Gopis is also associated with Holi. This tradition has transpired through the ages, turning it into a community festival. The festival is full of colors. There are various references to Holi in different traditions and scriptures.

We welcome our new authors A Rustic Mind (Manali Desai) and Ankita Srivastava. Ankita has beautifully elaborated some of the traditions and traditional dishes of Holi. Hope you will try her Bread Dahi Vada Recipe. In another post, she delightfully explains the fun of tea preparation.

We also thank our current bunch of motivated and vibrant authors. We have some exciting posts lined up.
