Major Game Updates Explained

1. Wallet Upload Speed Boost

Players can now boost the speed of their wallet uploads by consuming more energy to temporarily. This can be useful when attempting to stay hidden from a nearby drone or wanting to leave the hexagonal zone sooner than later.

It costs 5, 10, and 15 Energy to boost the wallet upload speeds for Low, Medium, and High Security Wallets respectively. Each wallet can have its upload speed boosted a maximum of 6 times, and depending on the upload’s current progress, it will take you to the next milestone based on the following six tiers: 50%, 75%, 88%, 94%, 97%, and 99%.

Example Scenarios:

  • Boosting when the wallet is currently at 5% will bring it up to 50%
  • Boosting when the wallet is currently at 55% will bring it up to 75%
  • Boosting when the wallet is currently at 74% will bring it up to 75%
  • Boosting when the wallet is currently at 89% will bring it up to 94%

2. $DEFY Rewards from Alternative Gameplay

Players can now earn $DEFY without having to steal and decrypt wallets to pledge FCOIN. This includes hacking towers and taking down drones.

Hacking Towers for $DEFY

  • Hacking towers will reward 2 $DEFY/tower daily for each unique tower (i.e., hacking 10 different towers instead of hacking the same tower 10 times)
  • Hacking towers never hacked before will reward 10 $DEFY/tower

Destroying Drones for $DEFY

  • Taking down a Collector Drone will reward 5 $DEFY/drone
  • Taking down a Hunter Drone will reward 10 $DEFY/drone

Note: $DEFY earned from hacking towers and destroying drones will still fall under the earn limit per mask and not be in addition to the daily pledge limit.

3. Uprising Masks Mint Resumes

It has been over a month since Phase 1 of Uprising Masks mint happened where 2,000 of the total 10,000 supply were minted. Minting of the remaining 8,000 Uprising Masks have since made available earlier this month at 6,000 $DEFY each and includes the option of minting via our in-app Black Market. Players may also use their locked alpha rewards to mint a mask.

The new minting system will roll out masks progressively over a longer period of time to introduce new mask supply at a slower pace instead of aiming to fully mint out the collection within a matter of minutes. Under the new system, a maximum of 60 new masks will be made available every 12 hours. For more information on the updated minting system, please read the following article.
