We’ve spent an incredibly packed 2 days with super talented teams who applied for Design Terminal’s fall mentoring program. Shout out goes to KREA contemporary art school, who provided us with a great space in the heart of Budapest.

After introducing our accomplished key mentors, the teams got a little intro into the fundamentals of the lean startup concept, user interview techniques and rapid experiment design. Their assignment was a simple validation task.

During office hours in the afternoon and the next day, they consulted with our key and external mentors, identified their assumptions, picked one to validate and went out to do field work, designed online tests, etc.

At the end of the second day, they showcased their findings to a jury panel and afterwards, we all went over to Impostor to relax after the super intense work in the previous 48 hours.

Some of the feedbacks we received from the participating teams:

“We learnt so much & met so many fantastic people thanks to you! No other way, but forward!”

“We would like to thank you for this great possibility to participate in the selection camp! You organised an excellent program! We enjoyed every minute of it! You created a very inspiring atmosphere and we received great insights from all of you about the development of a start up. It was like a drug for me, really I felt super excited during the whole program. :) ”

“ We wanted to thank you for the last great days — it was nice meeting and learning together with the other participating teams & the TechLab team last week.”

“ … the Design Terminal experience has already benefited us greatly. We have learnt a lot indeed during the 2.5 days of the bootcamp and made some great connections.”

“ I enjoyed the mentor meeting minutes the most. During the discussion I gained self-confidence and new guidelines were highlighted that were generated by their questions.”

Thank you for all the kind words and the hard work you put in! We had an incredibly high level of applicants, so it made the job of picking the finalists super hard. Read more about who is participating in DesingLab, CityLab and TechLab here.
