Welcome to Digital Narratives publication! The MA Digital Narratives invites students to explore creative processes in dramaturgy and design, deal with theoretical and critical discourses in media and cultural studies, engage in dialogues on the new possibilities digital technologies afford, analyze and research media ecosystems ─ as spaces where talks around gender, diversity, social justice, ecology and colonial histories are at play — as well as the social responsibility in the arts and media in digital societies. The department also engage in research and publications around the same topics. For us, taking part in shaping the stories of the digital society mean actively involve in discussions and open our processes to the public. Creating and thinking digital narratives is not only about the results but about the experiments that take us there. Take a look at our blogposts to see our work processes, thoughts, critiques and projects as we develop them. This publication is co-created by the students of the MA Digital Narratives, with Zubair Ashraf as its current editor, and with the editorial supervision of the Head of Department, Jimena Aguilar.
