The Project on Digital Era Government is housed at Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center Innovations in Government Program and directed by David Eaves, Lecturer in Public Policy at HKS. The Project explores how digital era technologies are changing how government deliver public services and create public goods. It is particularly interested in the skills and competencies public leaders will need to possess. In addition, it examines what new capabilities and supporting governance structures will be needed for governments to be effective. Through research, practitioner convenings, and public commentary, the Project on Digital Era Government distills what the minimum viable knowledge public administrators will need in a digital era as well as how domain experts can better engage senior public administrators and politicians.
