Exploring how we design the physical spaces we live and travel in
Note from the editor

The physical spaces within which we spend a majority of our time have a great deal of impact on how we engage with and make sense of the world around us. To say that the physical spaces and vehicles we construct are merely intended to shield us from harm and keep us comfortable is a pragmatic but ultimately unsatisfying view of spatial design. I would argue instead that manmade physical spaces are essential hallmarks and instinctual of the human condition, and that our perspectives, humor, and relationships can be cultivated or frustrated by our habitats. For me, what began with a love for cars has morphed into a love for all designed spaces, and while it may seem an odd pairing, I believe that all manmade environments- whether designed for motion or stationary — are equally vital to the forward progress of developing spaces that support and inspire us.
