With so much happening here on Dune, it can be easy to miss a development or two. With this in mind, at the end of each month, we’ll be posting an at-a-glance summary of all the great things getting dune!

Babylon+

The latest protocol upgrade, Babylon+ has officially rolled out across the MainNet! The upgrade includes a host of great new features, including; baking account management features, improved support for private networks, additional RPCs and commands as well as the best features of the Tezos Babylon and Carthage upgrades. In addition, Babylon+ implements a first version of Love VM, a native programming language available to smart contract developers on Dune Network.

Progressive Tokens Burn

Driven by demand from the community, a clean-up of inactive accounts has begun. As of the Babylon+ upgrade, accounts which remain dormant since receiving their Dune, have been marked for a slow-decrease of balance. In this way, early supporters are rewarded for their participation in the network while those who have yet to get involved are encouraged to take action.

Community AMA

As part of our commitment to openness with the community, the team recently held the first community AMA event of 2020. A huge thank you from all the team to everyone who attended with questions at the ready. A full transcript is available on Reddit for those not able to make it. We will announce a date a similar event in February soon!

Magnum Wallet

From early February, Dune Network will be available upon Magnum. Magnum is a non-custodial wallet for managing more than 1000 crypto assets. Magnum’s users can use hardware wallets, as well as instantly trade their coins through the centralized and decentralized exchange services that are built into its apps. Most importantly, users have full control over their private keys in Magnum, which in turn makes this wallet an extremely convenient and secure tool for holders and traders alike. When combined with inbuilt functions for staking, delegating and earning rewards, it’s easy to see why Magnum is a great choice for Dune!
