Eat Your Ath Off
Food Blog by Valerie Boyd’s Critical Writing Class at the University of Georgia
Note from the editor

In 2020, being a foodie requires a little extra creativity. But we are four women determined for you to Eat Your Ath Off! Before the start of this semester, we were just four young scholars working toward a degree in journalism at Grady College. Now that we are virtually (no pun intended) dual enrolled at UGA and Zoom U, we have become teammates in a quest to share stories about good food and where to find it. I can say with confidence that Jossi Lord, Emma Kate Shelton, Korey Elliott, and I (Lily Guthrie) have learned a great deal about the shifting nuances of different areas of culture writing. We each accepted the challenge to write across disciplines on music, TV, movies, books, fine arts, and food; I myself have had a fabulous time exploring all the culture Athens has to offer. We hope we ignite the flame of what’s possible in your quarantine kitchen and rumble your stomach with our favorite flavors in town!
