February was full of events: if you are following us, you probably know that already. This month marked a new milestone for us, a new path to follow. While we keep on moving forward, it’s perfect timing to make a small revision of everything that happened during the last few weeks. Follow along!

Coming to DeFi

The milestone we mentioned earlier was, of course, the intention to coming to DeFi with our own DeFi dashboard. Before announcing it this month, we have been working on it for a few months behind the scenes. We are building Essentia DeFi Dashboard to become a platform for all things DeFi. It will contain an Essentia lending and borrowing platform, as well as the staking and yield farming opportunities. We are aiming to make it as easy to use, as possible, in order to lower the threshold for new users.

A little sneak peek of what it will look like:

Still working on that! But we’re proud to say that we’ve already come a long way. We’re sure you’ll witness the launch very soon now. Stay tuned!

Farms Open

While we are working on the dashboard with our own native yield farming opportunities, we’ve decided to provide our users with the opportunity to earn ESS passively using outside yield farming services.

Unicrypt

The first service where we opened a farm was Unicrypt. We were so happy to see that our users were interested in actually farming ESS, that when the farming period ended, we reopened it. Whenever you’re reading it, you can check if there are farms open on Unicrypt by this link.

Check out the guide on how to farm on Unicrypt:

Value DeFi

We are delighted to also tell you that we have partnered with Value DeFi and managed to open two different pools on their FaaS platform. Currently, you can add liquidity to USDC/ESS and ETH/ESS pools to earn your rewards.

Major UI/UX Updates

We can surely say that apart from DeFi, this month has been majorly focused on the UI/UX improvements. We made a huge spreadsheet with all the suggestions our users had on the Essentia Desktop layout, went over every single one of them, and made everything possible to transform Essentia into a more intuitive, and user-friendly app.

Here are some of the updates that were made.

…and a lot more! If you’re interested to see what else was improved and find the detailed descriptions of everything that was mentioned, head out to the dedicated article.

Expanding to Binance Chain

This month we also announced that Essentia is actively developing a tri-dimensional bridge ETH < > BSC < > ESSX and expanding to Binance Smart Chain.

The ESS token on Binance Smart Chain will be used for a bridge between the Binance and Ethereum networks. When a user sends ESS tokens to BSC, they will be locked in Binance Bridge, and a corresponding value in ESS tokens on Binance will be consequently unlocked.

Thanks to the move, ESS users will be able to switch between three chains: Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, and the Essentia Chain. Meanwhile, features of Essentia (assets exchange, staking, running a masternode) will become available to BSC users.

The bridge is a big chunk of work: we need to make sure it works properly and is safe for our community to use. We will keep you posted about all the updates, while we work on it. Make sure you’re subscribed to our social media to stay on top of things. You will find the links at the end of the article.

Masternode fees initiative

Just a few days ago we launched an initiative helping our users to refund the fees they spent on deploying a masternode. We fully understand how frustrating it is to pay such money for simply approving the transaction. The thing is in order to perform a masternode deployment you first need to swap your tokens for coins, meaning you need to communicate with the Ethereum blockchain.

So, in order to help our users out, we are offering to cover the fees they spend on the transaction. The initiative is running for a limited amount of time, so don’t hesitate for too long! Check all of the details and conditions here. If you’re interested in deploying a masternode, this is the right time too: with the 1-click auto-deploy you can currently set up a masternode with a click of a button. Here you can find all of the options and rewards details.

Essentia Masternodes Listings

This month we also got a lot of attention from the masternodes aggregators! Here’s where we got listed:

Gentarium

Gentarium is a platform allowing to deploy a masternode directly from their website. Since Essentia is listed there, you can read all the necessary info and either proceed with installing from the website, or opening the Essentia Desktop app, and using our 1-click auto-deploy service.

Masternode.buzz

Masternode buzz is an aggregator-type platform, where you go to look up stats and data on any masternodes. The websites provide the technical info, along with the numbers of the daily-monthly-yearly income. Here, you can also find all the exchanges where you can buy the ESS token.

Masternode.biz

Yet another aggregator, where you’ll be able to find all of the information about the masternode. Apart from that, Masternode.bizz offers data on the blockchain itself. Very useful! Since this, and the previous platforms don’t allow for direct deployment, all you need to do is open the Essentia desktop app and click a few buttons.

YouTube coverage

After announcing that we’re working on the DeFi dashboard we were mentioned by some of the biggest YouTubers in the industry. We are proud to be reviewed by Voskcoin, Crypto crow, Crypto Rick, and a list of other creators. We are happy to see that more and more people are now aware of our big mission of bringing the decentralized world to every house, worldwide! Thank you :)

Support & bugs

Having a goal of making the Essentia desktop even more usable, this month we worked twice as hard on resolving bugs that were reported to us. Every app has bugs, what matters is how good the support is at resolving them. We are proud to say that since the last monthly update, Essentia has truly become a lot more efficient and pleasant to use.

That’s it for today!

During the next weeks, we will continue working on the things mentioned today. If you have any suggestions about further development, we will be happy to see them on our official Telegram channel.
