It has been an exciting week for Ethex exchange, with our useful tokens having great progress and updates within their respective projects. Here is a summary of what has happened with some of our useful tokens:

DAI: MakerDAO

Maker has made major headlines this week with their announcement that beta testing has begun with Wanchain for cross-chain transactions. This allows for DAI to be exchanged with BTC as well as Ether. Additionally, they have sold 6% of total token supply for $15 million, hopefully leading to further development of the project.

BNB: Binance Coin

Binance announced that it will be donating all of their new listing fees to charity through a program they call Blockchain Charity Foundation. This newly established foundation has been dubbed a “not-for profit organization dedicated to the advancement of blockchain-enabled philanthropy towards achieving global sustainable development.” They also announced that coins will be able to name their listing price. Binance claims that this action will not effect the listing process, but many are skeptical as to how this will continue to be a fair process for those coins that offer a low amount for their listing rate and if coins will be able to “buy” their way onto a listing. You can learn more about the Blockchain Charity Foundation here. Keep an eye on this space for further development.

BAT: Basic Attention Token

BAT had an AMA on Reddit with David Temkin, Brave Browsers Chief Product Officer. A variety of topics were covered, including the ability to tip via the browser, the new advertiser interface, potential for a mail service, platforms for Brave rewards, and a variety of other topics. Check out the Reddit AMA summary here.

PRL: Oyster Protocol

Oyster had two subtle but key updates this week. The first is that Oyster storage has an upload increase from 25 MB to 125 MB. This allows for storage support for small and medium sized businesses. Additionally, users are now able to leave the Oyster interface once their upload has been confirmed, improving functionality abilities within their platform.

REP: Augur

Augur released a long list of potential updates to Augur v2 that will affect the underlying protocol. These proposed updates can be found here. They were also active at ETH San Francisco as well as Trufflecon in Portland, Oregon. Their full weekly report can be found on their Medium page.

KNC: Kyber Network

Kyber has announced that they will begin listing three new tokens. They include Datum (DAT), Quarkchain (QKC), and Republic Protocol. These three have all gone live as of October 9th. To find out more about their listings, please visit their blog update here.

DENT: Dent Coin

Dent has now gone live in both Gambia and Chile, bringing their total carriers to 101 and their countries of operation to 32. They continue to expand at a rapid pace and have huge coverage with their expansion to these two countries, bringing their potential user base up by 8.1 million.
