Hello and welcome to the weekly update email/post from Exploring Sobriety. In these emails, I like to share my latest writing about alcoholism and recovery. This week, I have three posts for you:

3 Tips For Young Alcoholics — I quit drinking when I was 29 years old, which puts me on the younger side of the recovery world. I think that getting sober young is becoming increasingly common, so here are some of my top tips for other young alcoholics. Read the entire post here.

Staying Sober and Dealing With Haters — For the most part, I’ve received overwhelming support since I started writing about my sobriety. But every once in a while I’m faced with a “hater.” I recently saw a fellow recovered alcoholic being mocked on Twitter, and it got me thinking about how we deal with the jerks after getting sober. You can read the full post here.

Steve-O’s Best Sobriety AdviceJackass’s Steve-O has become an unexpected voice of hope in the recovery world. He speaks more frequently about his struggles with addiction and sobriety than nearly any other celebrity. I’ve written about him before, but this week I wanted to highlight what I think is his single best piece of advice. Read the post to find out what it is.

If you’re looking for even more to read about addiction, make sure to check out my Substack newsletter.

Thank you very much for reading! Have a great week!

Thanks,
Benya
