A more interesting Gameweek with some expected results and some unexpected ones. No update was provided for Gameweek 22 as we made no changes to the team to save a transfer.

Last week, I spoke about how we should have gotten Callum Wilson over Ollie Watkins. Now, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we have news now that Wilson will be out with an injury for the next 6 weeks. But we also have another pickle pop up. Our defender James Justin also picked up a nasty injury (acl) which will rule him out for the rest of the season. ACL injuries are devastating and sometimes career ending and so I wish a speedy recovery to Justin..

We do however face the prospect of leaving him out or transferring someone else in.
As far as news, the surprise results turned out to be Villa’s 1–0 win over Arsenal and City’s 4–1 thumping of Liverpool. Guess who saved us? İlkay Gündoğaaaaaaaaaaan!! May his productivity continue.

Gameweek 22 and 23 Results

James Justin was a massive help to us so far with 24 points from just two Gameweeks so losing him will be a big blow to us as well. Bringing in Mohammed Salah was also a boost with 18 points from him (with captaincy bonus). Gündoğan continues to impress in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne with 21 points.
In fact, most of our players are doing well with the exception of Yerry Mina, Harvey Barnes and Bukayo Saka. I expected more from Saka but the poor luck and run of form for Arsenal hasn’t helped. Barnes could be expected to return to form quickly so he’s always worth keeping in the team.

Player Analysis

We have 2 free transfers. Finally.

Since this week is also a Double Gameweek, we will probably play our chip, Bench Boost.
So as to maximize value from Man City and Everton.

We would have liked to bring in Harry Kane and Bruno Fernandes. But due to budget restrictions, we will have to be content with Heung-Min Son and Edinson Cavani - the lesser of the two combos but still worth the money. We will also replace James Justin for Aaron Creswell. Creswell currently leads the defenders in points and with their game to Sheffield United, they seem to have it easy at least for this week. We will change it next week since they schedule looks tougher.
