📦 NEW 📦 Shipping from your farm!

We made it even easier to get farm-fresh products from field to fridge. Shipping is now available!

Farmers can now set up a shipping zone by state with a flat shipping fee. When shoppers enter a delivery address, they will immediately see a message confirming whether or not the farm can ship to their location and the associated fee will be added at checkout.

In addition to this very moving update, the user interface in the shop, cart, packing sheets, and CSV exports have gotten a facelift to better accommodate shipping and delivery features.

Taxes are calculated based on the subtotal charge before fees and/or customer tips. Farmers should look up taxable fees based on location.

💸NEW 💸 Sales Taxes and Flat Fee Feature

We’ve introduced sales taxes and flat fees based on either zip code or state designations. The taxes feature comes at no additional charge to you! Simply configure your fees or sales tax settings in the Account Settings tab and then select any relevant taxes or fees within your product editing pages or in the product bulk editor.

Drag-and-drop shop editing makes building & updating your farm shop quick and easy.

Building your GrownBy shop has never been easier! Save time at the desk and effortlessly add or update product images with a drag-and-drop feature to manage your farm profile and CSA groups.

Customers shopping with an EBT card can easily find SNAP eligible products with a SNAP icon, or filter products using the search function.

It’s easier than ever to build unique SNAP/EBT products

Farmers can now clearly tag products with a [SNAP ELIGIBLE] [SNAP ONLY] or [NOT SNAP ELIGIBLE] label, so that customers can easily find and purchase SNAP products!

SNAP Only products must be purchased with a valid SNAP EBT card and a SNAP Only tag will appear on product photos on the shop. This is particularly helpful for farmers offering SNAP products at a discounted rate.

Split-tender invoicing means customers can pay a portion of their share with a check, EBT, credit card, or cash.

Invoice adjustments allow more flexibility for customers.

Making payment options flexible means farm food can be more accessible! Farmers can now manually adjust invoices via the Invoices Tab for split tender transactions or partial payments.

Farmers can set a minimum number of order pick-ups for more control over order size and frequency.

In addition to minimum order requirements, farmers can quickly adjust standard products to shares and set a minimum number of product pickups.

Shoppers will be required to purchase a specified number of weeks for a product, rather than individual weekly or one-off purchases.

Customers still have the option to Pay-in-Full OR Per-Pickup Payment (i.e. installments). These features give farmers more control over order size and frequency, potentially reducing transaction costs while providing a more transparent and convenient shopping experience.

This feature is helpful for CSA shares with customizable weeks and farms offering CSA shares to EBT customers.

Other UI / UX Improvements and Bug Fixes

We are continually updating the GrownBy app for smoother buying and selling experience for farmers and consumers.

ACH payment processing means fewer fees and secure payments. Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments are now enabled. Learn how to enable and use ACH payments.

Hover Tips / Tool Tips All tooltips on a device that uses a mouse or trackpad (i.e. desktop or laptop) will appear as hover tips. Users can click on the [?] icon and the hover tips will remain open until the user closes it.

Schedule page open/close time lag bug fix We finally tracked down a bug leading to inconsistent outcomes with opening and closing schedules.

Private CSA groups now have a lock icon overlaid to quickly identify a private CSA group. Learn how to make a private shop on GrownBy 3.7.

In-shop search function makes seasonal shopping more convenient. Customers can quickly find seasonal products within farm shops with a search bar located on the left side of the shop page on desktop and at the top of the shop on the mobile app.
