The dissatisfaction of perfectionism but satisfaction of 100

If you’ve been following for a while (though unlikely but thank you!), I recently started this quest to figure out what I want to do in life.

Although this is generally a question that people ask and figure out themselves behind the curtains, I wanted to make this process more deliberate, public and open. Maybe so that to people on the internet can call me out on my bs. Anyway, I do this through learning and developing seven skills everyday. I took this idea from Valentin Perez who coined it “Renaissance Human” and I’ve been doing it since February 9, 2021 (see my first post here).

To be completely honest, I haven’t been doing it consistently which is one of the core skills that anyone has to have if they want to do this challenge and I don’t want to carry on knowing this thought.

As a result, I decided that I’m going to start over and doing it right this time. My hope is to document is it for 100 days straight, no cheats. Why?

And one more:

“People talk about how the 90s promise of the internet as a medium of unconstrained individual expression turned into a reality of social media monopolies forcing people into homogenous boxes for data harvesting. But if you have something to express and show the world you don’t have to stay boxed up. Let the internet be your canvas.” Word by Putanumonit

So, how am I going to do it right?

  • Twitter — Tweeting photos and random insights from doing the thing everyday. Holds me accountable since people are actually watching and gives real time updates to anyone who’s following. (follow me)
  • Medium — Posting an article everyday summarising insights of the day from Twitter. (here)
  • Substack — This will be used as the “plan” since I’ll be sending one newsletter every Monday to show what I’ll be working on for the week to come. (sign up!)

Looking forward to starting over! If you liked this article, you might enjoy the previous articles too : Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 :) Thank you — and if you have feedback, please feel reach out to me (me@gabbiegadi.com)
