TL; DR

📢 Protocol Updates and Releases

Findora contributors remained busy throughout November, providing a number of updates and upgrades to the blockchain.

Introducing the Rialto Cross-chain Bridge 🌉

The Rialto Cross-chain Bridge is a two-way token bridge that enables seamless ERC-20 (or BEP-20) transfers between Findora (via the Findora EVM layer) and Ethereum (or Binance Smart Chain). With Rialto you can lock Ethereum or BSC native assets in the bridge contract, and an equivalent token on Findora will be minted and be used within DApps empowered by Findora. Rialto is currently deployed on the Findora Forget testnet.

The initial launch of Rialto on the Findora mainnet will first support popular tokens such as ETH, BNB, BUSD, USDT, USDC and Bitcoin to cross over to the Findora network as FRC-20 tokens — Findora’s version of the Ethereum ERC-20 standard. To incentivize users to bring assets over to the Findora ecosystem, Rialto will reimburse users’ gas fees via FRA tokens.

Smart Stake — a performance and analytics dashboard for Findora Validators

Validator Spotlight showcases the great teams working to guarantee the security and decentralization of the Findora blockchain.

Grantee Spotlight highlights core contributors building impactful tools in the Findora ecosystem.

Tell us about Smart Stake
Smart Stake provides staking validation services for Proof of Stake (PoS) and Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) blockchains. We provide a transparent, reliable, and feature rich staking service. Smart Stake is all about enhancing the ecosystem of the blockchains where we provide validation services. Staking is a very engaging activity for all participants of the network. The high degree of involvement by all community members means that there are always questions around various aspects that are generally not thought of earlier or are not first class features of the network’s staking dashboards. We saw that the community & validators struggled with answering basic aspects around performance and returns. Smart Stake builds analytical tools to augment the features offered by other tools and provide a way to answer commonly asked questions.

The Findora Analytics dashboard, built by Smart Stake as part of a grant from Findora, allows all participants of Findora network to assess various aspects of staking. It provides features for monitoring validator performance, assessing which validators are best fit for individual needs, calculating expected rewards, and checking network metrics.

Crypto Investors Defy Regulatory Uncertainty To Profit On Right To Privacy

“When someone exchanges coins or banknotes for a good or service, that transaction is only known to the two parties involved… Further, if you hand a $10 bill to the woman at the local farmer’s market, she can’t look up how much you have left in your bank account.”

Discreet Labs’ VP of Product, Warren Paul Anderson contributed a wide range of thought leadership to this important article on Forbes.com*, written by Senior Contributor Hailey Lennon.

Findora @ NFT.NYC

Discreet Labs’ Director of Marketing, Cory A. Ross, attended NFT.NYC earlier this month for 3+ days of NFT education and discussion. One observation from the exciting week: with all the legitimate hype around NFTs, what they are, what they can be, and the potential value they bring to industries far beyond native blockchain organizations, there exists one glaring omission in the equation.

Privacy.

Privacy stands to be a top concern for the entire NFT ecosystem — as well as the broader blockchain ecosystem. With EVM compatibility, the Rialto cross-chain bridge, and all the amazing projects being developed and built by contributors, Findora is sure to play a major role in supplying this basic right to NFT holders in the future.

🧑‍🌾 Ecosystem Contributors
