Hello, ETHDenver hackers! 👋 We’re back! After launching with our first public debut at ETHDenver 2019, Fortmatic is excited to return to ETHDenver this February 14–16, 2020 in Denver, CO as a sponsor to BUIDL with you once again. Started as three co-founders hacking from a living room, the past year has been one of incredible growth for us, which we detailed in our 2019 Year in Review post! Here are a few highlights:

  • Over 3,000 customers and application integrations spanning financial services, games, social networks, and digital collectibles, from startups and enterprises alike — with many notable customers from emerging markets who are collectively valued over billions of dollars
  • Our team has grown from 3 co-founders to a full-fledged team of 13, spanning engineering, design, product, business development, marketing, customer support, and operations
  • Went from alpha MVP to version 1.0 GA production release
  • Completed the SOC 2 Type 1 Audit and penetration tests which allows our solution to be enterprise-ready. This is a security standard pioneered by industry leaders such as Coinbase and Gemini — making us the world’s first web3 authentication provider to demonstrate this level of security compliance in safeguarding user assets and data
  • Launched Fortmatic Enterprise pilot program

This year, ETHDenver will be taking the excitement and engagement to the next level! We’re absolutely thrilled about ETHDenver’s new integration with the BuffiDAO. When you registered for ETHDenver with Devfolio and staked your application for ETHDenver’s ultra-rare swag using Fortmatic, you were also setting up your BuffiDAO identity. When you check in to ETHDenver next month, your Fortmatic ID will act as your BUIDLathon ticket. It will be authenticated at check-in and your public key will be printed as a QR code on the front of your badge, which will act as your “membership” card to ETHDenver and allow you to interact with the entire BuffiDAO ecosystem. The fact that you only had to use your phone number or email to create your Fortmatic ID shows just how easy it can be to interact with Web3 tech using our product!

From check-in to final project voting, ETHDenver attendees will have the opportunity to experience the world’s first in-event live video game application powered by a DAO.

Our philosophy at Fortmatic is to empower developers while staying out of the way — letting developers own their authentication and user experience as much as possible. Hence, we’ll also be launching a new beta service at ETHDenver this year that will take this philosophy to the next level!

Make sure to come by our booth in the ETHDenver Shill Zone to play with our latest tech, talk to our team, earn BuffiDAO experience points (XP) and pick up some awesome swag! I will speak on Friday evening in the Opening Ceremony, and we’ll also be hosting a technical workshop on how to integrate with Fortmatic and share some ideas for bounties!

If you want to start playing with Fortmatic’s tech before ETHDenver, you can get started by jumping straight to our docs! Join us at ETHDenver, our whole team will be going and we are all looking forward to meeting you there!

Fortmatic offers an SDK for developers to implement their own authentication and key management experience for decentralized applications built on the Ethereum blockchain. Users will no longer have to wrestle with browser extensions like MetaMask and securing their seed phrases.
