From the inside out

As physical events return, European football fans are screaming their lungs out and partygoers recalibrate their post-lockdown social skills.

For GET, there are countless developments going on both in front and behind the scenes; we are hard at work scaling operational efforts to match our ambitions and present opportunities.

In this blog we’ll share some of the latest examples along these lines, specifically linked to the transparent operations of the protocol. Being a cornerstone of our mission, this is something we hold in high regard and will continue to improve as we progress.

That said — dive in.

The NFT Explorer Is Here

As GET Protocol’s NFT Ticketing has risen from concept to reality over the past few years, it has been hot on our mind that utilising blockchain for ticketing would not be doing justice to the transparent nature of the technology if there was no method of being able to look under the hood at all ticketing operations occurring through GET Protocol around the world.

The NFT Ticket Explorer is our answer to this pressing thought, as it provides real-time statistics of all tickets flowing through GET Protocol whilst giving a detailed breakdown of an individual ticket’s lifecycle.

This marks a momentous occasion in further highlighting the scale of our ticketing operations as GET Protocol moves towards the global stage.

The explorer can be thought of as a streamlined block explorer. We’ve ensured data is clearly presented in an easy-to-digest manner for any visitor to the site whilst providing the possibilities of delving into the complexity of each ticket further through the underlying Polygonscan.

A nice shout out from our friends at Polygon.

With our NFT Ticketing finding a home on Polygon recently, there’s an increasing number of people in the wider cryptocurrency community that are discovering and understanding the NFT Ticketing niche. We’re excited to be presenting a clear example of the potency of NFTs when used for their utility value in a real world industry. The NFT Ticket Explorer will only help to further demonstrate this to the wider community.

We are currently in the process of processing the backfill of our outstanding tickets. (Those that were previously sold but not yet used at events — mostly due to the pandemic.) This means that you will see the numbers tick up as the on-chain registration of those tickets are processed.

Further team growth & realignment

One of the biggest factors in our scaling efforts is the process of hiring. We are actively growing and realigning the internal team structure to ensure we can deliver products and operate confidently on a global level. Now is the time.

Open positions

Here’s a list of the current outstanding positions within our teams:

If you feel compelled by any of the positions listed, or if you think you know the potential perfect fit, do let us know. For developer roles a GET reward is available for providing the golden lead.

Does that say CEO?

That’s right, we are looking for someone who can oversee operations for GUTS Tickets. Up until now this role has been stewarded by GET Protocol co-founder Maarten Bloemers, who will be dedicating himself fully to the international expansion strategy of GET Protocol.

Speaking of Maarten, he spent some time talking to Hashoshi a little while ago. Their conversation gives insights into our future ambitions & plans.

Shoutout Hashosh.

Big opportunities, dedicated execution

The big ambitions we refer to are closely tied to tangible opportunities we see resulting from the overlapping interest in our technology and our internal strategies. The restructuring, company-wide improvement of processes and conscious team growth marks an important phase that will help us seize the opportunities at hand in a lasting way.

While crucial for the long run, these efforts of ‘leveling up’ do also have effects on other initiatives, such as our Decentralized Event Financing feature, the first iteration of which was expected to be out around this period.

This doesn’t mean we’re going back to the drawing board. We’ve done a lot of valuable discovery work and we know that it’s needed in the market, but delivering good software for our customers and community requires an organisation structured to capture value, so we’ve taken a moment to put this first.

Not only does this allow us to deliver more consistently and reliably, but it gives us better understanding on how to forecast the upcoming periods. This all goes deeper than any single project or product and will carry benefits on how we position our organisation within the market, how we communicate, and how we build — all of this will provide more long term stability.

Presenting the Event List

The Ticket Explorer gives a great look at the macro stats & individual tickets, we wanted to give more specific insights into upcoming events and show the purchase flow for the end user.

To that avail, we are now sharing the Event List, which contains a variety of ticket shops to a number of upcoming GET-powered events.

A one-stop shop

This Event List is a curated list of several active ticket shops for GUTS Tickets events. It shows the straightforward purchasing process for everyday users of GET-powered events, and how easy it can (and should!) be to buy actual blockchain-registered NFT Tickets for a mainstream audience.

It serves to provide a clear pallet of how different types of events are ticketed using the protocol, while also pointing those interested towards upcoming instances of GET being used in the wild.

We will update the list moving forward, as events take place and new ones are made public.

Speaking of events…

As tends to be the case, several new events & clients have been onboarded over the past few weeks. We’ll go into two examples here.

New event: Hier Festival
One freshly announced event is Hier Festival, a big indoor show in the Rotterdam Ahoy (where a little show called the Eurovision Song Contest just took place) with some of the biggest Dutch artists around.

The tickets have gone on sale already, you can check out the ticket shop here. Of course you can also come across some of the thousands of sold tickets in the Ticket Explorer!

New venue: Panama
Nightclub Panama is a household name in the Amsterdam party scene. They have been around for decades, and have now begun to offer the organisations hosting events at the club the possibility to use GUTS Tickets for their ticketing efforts.

One such organiser has already taken them up — Cheeky Monday. You can find several GUTS-ticketed events on Panama’s website, let’s hope for more to come.

This might also be a moment to shout out the GUTS support team, who have been working hard and racking up positive reviews along the way. (Not an easy achievement in the slightest.) A continuous flow of happy end users goes a long way towards company succes and growth.

White-label whispers

Those who follow the project closely may have come across little signs of life from future white-label integrators — a joyous byproduct of increased transparency.

As per usual these parties will be introduced in full when they are ready to do so in accordance to their own business and marketing strategies. Stay tuned.

Liquidity Mining update

GET Protocol’s liquidity mining program has been a mainstay initiative since the latter half of last year, helping to bolster liquidity on Uniswap which provided those looking to acquire GET with a deeper liquidity pool.

This month we extended the program to also encompass Quickswap which is Polygon’s version of Uniswap. This provides another decentralised method of acquiring GET which now ensures there are readily accessible opportunities on both the Ethereum and Polygon chains.

By incentivising liquidity on Quickswap, those who prefer the Polygon chain can be sure of a deep liquidity pool for trading GET.

Liquidity Mining Program Rewards

Each month there’s 24,000 GET available to incentivise liquidity. We will be allocating ⅓ of the total (8000 GET) to the GET — WETH QuickSwap pool.

The remaining ⅔ (16,000 GET) will continue to provide incentive for providers of liquidity on Uniswap.

The program will be running throughout Q3 and we’ll provide another update as we move towards Q4 later this year.

For more information on the updated liquidity mining program, make sure to read our announcement article here:

What’s to come for the next month

That’s simple: Growing, testing, deal-closing, publishing, repeat. We’ll be back with more before you know it.
