Hey there!

I’ve created this doc to answer some questions I often hear from new members, and to help you understand how your GiftedHire membership can open up amazing opportunities for you. GiftedHire can remove the pain, frustration, and confusion from your job search if you take advantage of all your membership offers. If you still have questions after reading this, please feel free to message me in-app or by email at mark@giftedhire.com.

What sorts of opportunities can GiftedHire connect you with?

The GiftedHire team helps you connect with any employer, whether they’re in our network or not. To date, we’ve directly connected our members with opportunities including:

  • New business ventures with globally successful entrepreneurs in fields emphasizing social welfare and responsibility
  • IT & software development at Fortune 500 companies
  • Public relations and strategic communications firms
  • Virtual reality production and tech start ups
  • Nonprofits in diverse fields ranging from entrepreneurial development to youth financial education
  • High-end consumer goods marketing (including scotch whisky)

You have good grades and submitted tons of job applications online – why haven’t you heard back from anyone?

Companies don’t evaluate every applicant the way your professors evaluate every student. You won’t pass and get a job simply by doing the minimum amount of work required on the job posting. If you don’t take the initiative and go above and beyond in your outreach to employers, there’s a good chance your application will be thrown out before anyone reads it at all.

However, what made you stand out as a top student still matters on your path to a great career. Connecting with your professor and creating a relationship with him or her is key to setting yourself apart from the rest. The same is true when you’re applying to jobs — you have to approach it like you’re developing a relationship with your future employer, and realize that your professional profile will be a prospective employer’s introduction to who you are.

How will GiftedHire help you do this?

We’ll teach you effective strategies for creating a compelling professional profile and sharing it to connect with the people who count. GiftedHire membership is vetted, so your profile distinguishes you as a top candidate to anyone who views it. Our networking tool will help you start and manage your efforts. We also actively work hard to place your profile in front of fitting employers. On top of all that, our team is always available to you if you have questions as you go along.

How do you know this will work?

Don’t take our word for it — read some real success stories from our community below. You’ll notice that we’ve helped star students from all types of universities find their calling.

“As a college student, I felt that joining GiftedHire would be a great opportunity to get a head start in my career and to expand my options and my network. I set up my profile and easily uploaded my resume. Within a short time I was contacted by an employer regarding a job in the field I was interested in. This led to me landing the exact position I had been striving for.” Leonid, Prince George’s Community College.

“I have greatly benefited from GiftedHire’s Knowledge series. It has given me unique and effective strategies that have helped me better position myself on the job market.” –Maame, Barnard College of Columbia University

“I did some research on digital marketing agencies in Chicago and found one that seemed great, so I applied to their internship program through their website. When I didn’t hear back, I sent a message directly to the CEO with a list of reasons why they should hire me (sounds a little weird, I know, but it worked!) I just finished my last round of interviews with them and got the offer yesterday.” Georgia N., The University of Mississippi

“I really appreciated that GiftedHire took the time to look over my resume and give me feedback that same day. I found out about GiftedHire through NSCS, and never thought that this type of help ever existed. I am so grateful for the support GiftedHire gave me, and with their advice I did an excellent job at the career fair. I received many internship offers, even though I had just started college! Imagine, I’m from Puerto Rico and never thought this would occur.” Natalia, University of Puerto Rico

“After promising interviews and recommendations, there was two months of silence and a quick “Sorry, but no thank you” call from a job I had thought I would get. It was a big blow to my already shaky confidence in my job search and career plans. I learned about GiftedHire soon after and threw some of my sorrows at them. They were kind and understanding and supported me with multiple applications for jobs listed on their site. Throughout the difficult job search I found solace with the GiftedHire team’s help. I intend to continue consulting with the GiftedHire team when I’m ready for my next career move.” Stephanie, University of California, Berkeley

“I was looking to hire a motivated and qualified individual for a position at our company. I came across GiftedHire and decided to give them a try because of their vetted talent pool from sources such as NSCS. With the help of their team, I was able to easily search for candidates in the field that we were interested in and found several potential candidates, one of which lead to a successful hire shortly after. I am very pleased with GiftedHire and their services and would highly recommend them as a means of finding candidates of all skill levels and experiences”.
