Note from the editor

Global Literary Theory is an ERC-funded project based at SOAS, University of London that brings into comparison — through translation and original analysis — Arabic, Persian and Turkic poetics. Beyond our three core languages, we are open to collaboration relating to Urdu, Malay, Bangla, Swahili, Tamazight, and other literatures of the Islamic world. DM us on Twitter @balaghas or write us at globalliterarytheory@gmail.com if you’d like to contribute, translate work related to the literary traditions of the Islamic world, or review recent books in the field or literature in translation (see our newsletter for books available for review). And sign up for our newsletter!
