GLOBCOIN Update: Q1 2019
The first quarter of 2019 has been very productive and defining for GLOBCOIN: We launched our first stable payment token, the GLX, and made it accessible to the World.

Launch of the GLX at the World Economic Forum
What better place for the only currency pegged to the World Economy than the World Economic Forum? During the WEF Annual meeting 2019 in Davos, Globcoin CEO Helie d’Hautefort announced that the World can now trade and access the benefits of the GLX payment token. Read more…
The GLX listed on 3 Exchanges
In the first months of 2019, the GLX global stablecoin was listed for the first time on 3 exchanges with worldwide coverage:
- Lykke Exchange against 4 trading pairs: USD, EUR, BTC and USDT.
Lykke is an exclusive Exchange in Switzerland, authorised and regulated by the FINMA that operates under Swiss quality standards (Read more here). - InstantBitex has then listed the GLX stablecoin on their exchange. It is UK’s well known crypto exchange with more than 100k traders (Read more here).
- BITKER Exchange, where GLX was introduced to the Asian Market.
The team around the World —Meetings, Conferences and Summits
Globcoin CEO as well as several members of the team have been attending events and meetings in representation of the GLX stablecoin. The most important events include the World Economic Forum in Davos, as well as the Geneva Annual Blockchain Congress and the CV Summit 2019, both in Switzerland. Helie was also meeting potential partners in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. We hope to share more about this soon!
What comes next?
Getting the GLX stablecoin out there was hard work, but it’s still not the time to rest. Our international team is still working 24/7 for:
- Adding more Exchanges for the GLX and making it accessible all around the World.
- Launching a new platform for the GLX, where it will fully meet its intended use case as a global payment solution.
- Finalising the details for the Globcoin Crypto Platform, where GCP users will be able to trade the GLX with full liquidity.
- Undertaking new missions and working on new use cases to benefit the Global Village such as NGOs (we are currently in conversations with a new partner in Africa enabling young adults to work and reach more life opportunities in their home area) and Financial Inclusion.
- Exploring New Partnerships, for example with a leading Fintech company with a global presence, who would use the GLX to enable payments for their users.
- Reworking our website and roadmap, to make our message and mission more clear for our supporters.
