Content Update Trailer
Legends of the Sea
Umbra has set up camp on the Lagoon of Whispers and has begun chronicling legendary and infamous feats of pirates who have sailed the Sea of Thieves. This new sub-faction found under the Bilge Rat tab in the Reputation tab offers commendations and tattoo rewards, as well as giving context to the many Easter Eggs found in the game.
Gilded Voyages
Gilded Voyages return to kick off the new year! Choose carefully from among the Gilded Voyages being offered by the returning Duke, as you can only choose one!
Reaper’s Hideout Guide
The Reaper’s Hideout has gotten a face lift, with some cannon towers added to make defending/camping it easier.
Why would you defend it so adamantly? Because The Masked Stranger on the island is now accepting Captain’s Chests, Villainous Skulls, Crates of Exotic Silk, and Chests of Legends, all at double the gold (and without the reputation). It’s also the only place to sell Reaper’s Chests now, along with the new “Reaper’s Bounty Chest” that is worth gold instead of doubloons. There’s even Mercenary Commendations for selling these items there!
Ashen Tomes Volume 3
A new set of Ashen Tomes are being discovered and Duke wants them! Tackle Ashen Forts and Ashen Fleets to earn Ashen Chests that may contain Tomes of Fire! Turning in this set of five tomes unlocks new cosmetics. Alongside these Tomes of Fire, six new achievements have been added.
Check out our Guide to Ashen Treasures for all the important details!
Cosmetic Fanatics
Along with the Ashen Dragon set being expanded, the Black Market and Pirate Emporium have a host of new items to purchase, as well as a ton of new items in the regular outpost shops.
Check out our January Shopper’s Guide for every new cosmetic in the game,
And our new Black Market Archive post for all the existing items in the Bilge Rat Black Market
