2021 GoodGhosting Wrap-up

Plenty to shout about this year!

It’s been a busy year for the GoodGhosting team and community. Starting from almost zero, we have grown our community over 900%, launched our v1 product and most importantly helped our community to save a cool million emoji 🥳.

To celebrate the coming of a new year, here are our achievements for 2021!

Milestones

• Helped our community save over a million dollars in crypto !— $1,106,000 to be precise.
• 14768 players have saved with GoodGhosting. 5374 on Polygon and 9394 on Celo. Players who have entered multiple games will be counted multiple times.
• 21 concluded saving pools, and 4 ongoing — a new pool launching on the 5th of Jan! Details coming soon 👀.

Technical

• Launched our v1 saving protocol on Polygon and Celo.
• Integrations with Aave, Moola, ENS, MetaMask and Venly Wallet.
• Quantstamp and Dedaub audited our smart contracts.
• Built a backend service for scalability.
• A leaderboard added for extra gamification.
• Work on v2 of our smart contracts and continuous improvements to our UI
• Minted 19 GoodGhosting designed NFTs — 15 designed by Mali3D.

Community

• Grew our community by 900% — Twitter to 3600, and Discord to 3500.
• 5 Community Calls and 29 Blog posts.
• Presented from Personal to Social Finance at EthCC Paris.
• Joined Mask network’s SocialFi Alliance, Celo’s DeFi For The People and the Asia DeFi Network.
• Ran two community campaigns, Galactic Ghosts and Quest Pool, receiving over 2700 submissions, 300 memes, 200 drawings and more!
• We launched pools in partnership with Bankless DAO, MGD, Cometh, Crypto Colosseum, Float Capital, Acquisition Royale, Moola, Celo Apes, Celo Punks, Dims of Celo, CeloToadz, Lore, SumiCats, Unstoppable Domains, AriSwap, Nomspace and Celostrials.
• Thanks to Celo, we ran a GoodGhosting Pilot with 60 Kenyan digital mircoworkers.
• Rachel spoke with Girl Gone Crypto, and presented as part of SheFi’s Dec cohort.

Company

• Closed our pre-seed round early Q1 2021, enabling our core team to go full time on the project.
• Awarded a Tenet Award after taking part in Celo Camp Batch 3
• Hired our first full time community manager, Cale.
• We have hired to grow our development team early 2021.
• Rachel headed to NYC to take part in Launch House’s Web 3 program.
