Since Canadian online shoppers spending is expected to increase by 50% between 2014–2019, Main Street is planning on preparing digitally for this significant change in customer behaviour.
This is it! Our last project in the intensive UX Design program at RED Academy with a real client to showcase everything we’ve learned over the last eight weeks. With a team of three, we were able to deliver a product that our client truly loved, and was very grateful for.
Our first group project working with a non-profit community partner truly brought out the empathy in us. We are fortunate to be given the opportunity to enhance the experience of vulnerable women rising from an unpleasant chapter in their lives.
At RED Academy, we not only learn the technical skills we need as UX designers, but we are also taught the value of soft skills, particularly teamwork for our first group project. We were assigned teams that we’ll work with to complete a specific project within a two-week timeframe.
Our first week at RED Academy is about exploring different UX techniques and rapidly prototyping a mobile app. Using this newly attained knowledge, we are assigned to apply the skills we have learned to solve a problem our partner has by designing an app for them.
