1. THE MINDSET HAPPY COUPLES HAVE IN COMMON

+ The psychologists found that a significant factor in determining the couple’s relationship satisfaction over time was something called an attribution pattern.

+ attribution pattern is the overall trend in the way we choose to interpret our partner’s behaviour.

+ Couples who strive to judge each other benevolently — interpreting each other’s good behaviour as deliberate and habitual, and each other’s transgressions as accidental and limited (wherever possible and sensible) — are more likely to be satisfied in their relationships overall.

+ If your partner does something which upsets you, there are several ways you can interpret their behaviour. You could attribute it to internal or external causes.

+ Sometimes, we are so focused on the one mistake our partner made, or the one time they forgot to do something we wanted them to do, that we fail to remember the countless other times they showed us love and consideration.

+ The success of your relationship often depends on the interpretation you choose!

TL;DR
Your Perception is everything.
You can decide to be a half empty or half full kinda person, whichever one you are will determine the quality of your relationship.

2. THE DARK SIDE OF BEING A PEOPLE PLEASER

+ She said that in every relationship there is a gardener and a flower. The gardeners get their joy from tending to the garden. They give the flowers water and sunlight. Their joy comes in see their effort help the flowers to bloom. The flowers know this. So the flowers put their energy into blooming as greatly as they can to give the gardeners that joy.

+ Everyone has different peak hours. If you want to enhance your productivity, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a morning person or a night owl, or if you go for a run at 6 am or 6 pm.

+ Tackling the most important, most strategic work during my prime time enables me to stay motivated, make steady progress, and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

+ Your peak hours area a priceless currency. Draw clear boundaries and protect them however you can.
