Our First Pharmacy: Safe, Efficient, High-Quality Service Wherever You Are

We founded Hims & Hers because we knew millions of people weren’t getting the care they needed — they were either too embarrassed to seek help or felt stuck in a system that was confusing and intimidating. Digital health has the potential to radically change the way people approach their wellness and, since launching in 2017, we’ve outpaced even our own expectations, delivering more than 1 million Hims & Hers products to our customers. In collaboration with highly-qualified doctors and healthcare providers, we’ve built a digital health platform that is changing the way people talk about and receive the care they need.

We have no intention of slowing down. As the number of people we serve continues to grow, it’s vital we invest in infrastructure to ensure a safe and reliable service. That’s why we’re opening our first pharmacy in Ohio in 2020, investing $1.5 million in the Columbus Region to create a fully-licensed mail-order pharmacy, fulfillment center and customer support center.

Opening our own pharmacy allows us to expand safe, convenient and efficient access to quality care for our customers, no matter where they live. We will continue to work with our existing third-party pharmacy partners who have played a critical role in our growth so far.

People come to Hims & Hers to get treatment for health and wellness issues that impact their day-to-day lives. They rely on us to deliver what they need — often on an ongoing basis — and we take that responsibility seriously.

Our new facility will bring order fulfillment in-house for the very first time, enabling us to streamline delivery to our customers throughout the U.S. For all of us who have worked on Hims & Hers for the past two years, from concept to development to testing to deployment, our first pharmacy is an exciting milestone and an indication of how, with the right infrastructure in place, we will give more people the power to connect to the best healthcare solutions for them.

• Safety is our number one priority. As has been the case from day one through our partnerships with third-party pharmacies, our own pharmacy will comply with stringent U.S. licensing requirements and regulations governing how and where medications can be sourced. This includes independent evaluations to test and validate dispensed medications. In our most recent quarterly testing, in which an FDA-inspected, analytical testing lab ran blind tests on medications dispensed by our partner pharmacies, the portfolio of products submitted for testing passed FDA specifications for quality and potency.
• We plan to create 500+ jobs in the Columbus region, with our hiring process beginning in Q2 2020. From picking and packing, to supervisors and pharmacy technicians — everyone will be committed to providing our customers with the highest quality standard of care.
• We’re in the process of finding a permanent location — targeting 300,000–400,000 square feet of warehouse space in the Columbus Region.
