We spent five days in Uruguay (see Eleonore's blog in Spanish!) we could definitely come back for more!

First stop in Colonia del Sacramento, a pretty colonial town, a ferry ride away from Buenos Aires, across the Rio de la Plata
The weather is not great but the streets are still very atmospheric
View from the lighthouse
Mate for everyone!
A beautiful sunset over the river
Homework at the very cute hotel and at a very British like tea shop
Then on to the capital city, Montevideo, It is very sleepy and not particularly beautiful, apart from some nicer areas
Museum of carnaval!
At a trendy restaurant
What was once the tallest building in South America
The main square, with a mix of nice architecture and ugly 60s brutalist architecture… another cute little square with fountain and antique market
Homework always, at another cafe
Our fabulous Airbnb (see Raphael's blog) at the beach in Punta del Este, with indoor and outdoor pool, gym…
Home cinema (we watched E.T. and Miracle on 34th street) and beach!
Despite all that, we still manage to do some homework! We also enjoy the beach of course
Making our Xmas video on the left
A last look at our favorite ice cream chain in Argentina and Uruguay: Freddo, with 8 different flavours of dulce de leche!!
