iBetYou Is One Of The First DAPP On StarkNet!

For the first time ever we are bringing light dApps on StarkNet Mainnet

IBY is a permissionless blockchain protocol that allows you to challenge anyone on anything with any amount of tokens. It uses the basic principles of betting and kicks it up a notch with crypto wizardry.

In case you’re right, you can receive a financial reward (the pot) and definite proof of who was right in the form of an NFT token minted to prove you were right for eternity!

IBY is currently operating on five major blockchain platforms: Polygon, Moonriver, Avalanche Network, Arbitrum, and Binance Smart Chain.

Usage

Creating a challenge

In order to create a new challenge, the user will need to pass its unique identifier to the application. This can be done by clicking on the “Connect” button at the top right, and inserting a value when prompted. Of course, this input is only required for now because a real key is not being retrieved from a wallet.

Then the user has the option to increase balance, which is only a feature in this version because there isn’t yet any wallet/token integration implemented.

After the balance is increased you will be able to create the challenge with those “funds”. Steps for that are filling out the field for the amount and clicking the “Create Challenge” button (user needs to have enough “funds” to create a challenge).

Joining the challenge

After the challenge is created, any user can join it. All that needs to be done is click the “Join Challenge” button and the balance will automatically be transferred to the bet, of course, the user has to have balance before joining.

Judging the challenge

Once the “counter bettor” joins the bet, a third user will be able to join as a judge and vote for one of the other users as the winner of the bet. For this, the user simply clicks on the “Be Judge” button, which then will assign him a role of one. Once the transaction is finished, the judge will have 2 new buttons: one for voting Bettor and the other one for voting Counter Bettor, declaring the chosen as the winner, and rewarding him the bet prize.

Disclaimer

Being only for demonstration purposes, and in the alpha stage, IBY on StarkNet (StarkWare) includes only some of the features that the main application does. The main limitation is that only a single challenge can exist as of now, which every user will be interacting with. This means that when a user creates a challenge, it will overwrite the previous challenge.

Also, at this time, only one single judge is required to vote for a challenge, which means a dispute will never occur and the description of the challenge currently is not available, but everything is still in alpha and the changes will come soon.

Since StarkNet and IBY(StarkNet) are in alpha some transaction failures can occur, but no worries all the transactions and interactions with our contract are currently without any fee.
