I read an article this morning from

which made me feel relieved. You know, I felt some creepy feelings when I wrote articles on self love, you taking care of yourself, though I published the articles because I’m used to writing from the heart, and those articles represented my heart felt thoughts on the topic.

After I read a literature today from Jay Shetty, I felt like okay, here’s someone corroborating my story and he is an English author and former monk, I think I’m not just blabbing then.

You know, you can’t pour out from an empty cup and putting others ahead of yourself is the antithesis of living a healthy lifestyle. It isn’t a hallmark of someone who is ‘good,’ as you should love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Question? What if you don’t truly love yourself? how would you truly love your neighbor?

Self love isn’t selfishness, please note. Self indulgence and self preservation are entirely different things. Self love or self preservation entails treating and preserving oneself in ways that help you become the finest version of yourself. Selfishness or self indulgence on the other hand, is defined by a deliberate lack of care for others.

Here are the words of Jay Shetty on this

Self-love is the answer.

However, society tells us that romantic love is the more powerful connection.

And while romantic love is important, let me tell you this; nothing in your life is ever going to feel right until you learn how to deeply love yourself.

The moment you choose to love yourself with intention — by the grace of your thoughts, words, beliefs, decisions — you’ll witness your life radically change for the better.

It’s time to rediscover how much you can love yourself, friend.

I don’t know about you, but I just felt like wow!

Or did you? kindly share in the comments section

Ciao!
